Our family had the absolute best staycation at Tradewinds Island Resort on St Pete Beach! There is so much to do, see, explore, eat and shop.

When we first arrived at Tradewinds Islands Resort, we checked into our Resort View 2 Bedroom Villa. We were BLOWN AWAY at how incredibly spacious the room was. It has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room area. It made life so much easier for our family to have a full suite so the babies could nap, the children could go to bed on time, and Alex + I had a place to connect at the end of the day. You can see a full room tour Here. Once we got checked in, we immediately wanted to explore around the property. With 40 acres of dining and recreation options, there was so much to do and see!

I am a huge plant lover and so is our family, so naturally we fell in love with the luscious gardens that are all around Tradewinds. We spent time exploring and admiring all the beautiful plants, landscaping, and themed places to play.

As we were exploring we came across Paddle-boating! This was our first time Paddle-boating and it was so much fun! There is unlimited Paddleboat rides with your stay, and you paddleboat through the beautiful waterways with lush gardens all around. It is beautiful and fun to do together as a family! After paddle-boating, we continued to explore the resort. I absolutely LOVE that Tradewinds Island Resorts is RIGHT on the beach. It makes it SO SO SO much easier for families to have the ultimate Resort vacation experience while also getting the full Florida beach family vacation experience. It also is so easier for families like ours with multiple small children! Lugging around toddlers and babies is not easy! I can’t recommend Tradewinds Island Resorts enough for families with littles for this reason.

After exploring, we took a family swim! Since it’s mid November, the weather is getting chilly to us Floridians. We were very thankful for the heated pool and hot tub! The kids absolutely loved swimming and it’s the best way for them to practice swimming skills and have fun!

After swimming we grabbed some Pizza from the Pizza Hut Express at the Resort. I love that there are so many restaurant and dining option at the resort! You really don’t need to leave the resort for anything. We ate pizza and watched an animal cable show on tv. This was an extra special treat and the kids had a blast getting to have special hotel privileges. Again, I can’t say enough how much I absolutely loved the 2 Bedroom Villa. This suite is exactly what every family needs when they travel. We got to spend time as a family, then we got to put the kids to bed in one room, put the babies in another room, and then Alex and I got to connect at the end of the night together in the living room before going to bed in the babies room. There is also cribs available for use if you ask! Another huge plus for traveling families.

The next day we woke up bright and early and immediately wanted to get started on fun activities for the day! The sunrise and views from our room were beautiful. We stayed on the fourth floor, and the view did not disappoint.

In the morning we grabbed breakfast and set off to explore the resort again! I loved all the beautiful beach cabanas and places to relax on the beach in style and comfort. The tucked away hidden cabanas under the mangroves were ultra romantic and beautiful to experience. These were right next to Saltys Beach Bar where you could grab a drink, and hear live music from local musicians at night.

Again, I absolutely LOVE that Tradewinds Island Resorts is a full resort experience right on the beach! Tradewinds has beach games like giant connect four and corn hole and they even have sand toys to keep the kids entertained and happy on the beach for hours. You can also rent beach chairs and umbrellas to relax in comfort right on the beach! It was a bit chilly for these Floridians to go in the water, but we still loved to soak up the sun and play in the sand and enjoy beach games.

Everyone knows Kramer’s love to fish, so naturally we had to go see the Rumfish Grill Self Guided Tank Tour. This 33,000 gallon tank boasted some big and beautiful fish that the kids loved getting learn about! As homeschoolers, we’re always looking for ways to use life as learning, so this was an amazing opportunity to teach the kids about more Florida fish species!

The touch tank experience at Tradewinds Island Resorts was another huge hit for the kids that bought big smiles and lots of entertainment learning about marine life. The touch tank had many different species of sea stars, crabs, and other marine life that the kids could gently touch and learn about. I love how many fun learning activities Tradewinds has for kids!

We stopped for lunch at the Flying Bridge and I’m so upset I didn’t get a picture of all our food together! It was absolutely delicious and the burger was definitely one of the best burgers in Tampa Bay! I love how many restaurants and dining options there are right on the resort. Yet again, it makes life so much easier for families.

The afternoon was a busy bunch of fun as we continued to do all the fun activities at Tradewinds offers with your stay. The kids loved the giant inflatable water slide, the surf wipe out, and of course the super fun zip line! It was their first time on a zip line and the kids loved it! It wasn’t too high, but was FULL fun! We finished the afternoon swimming poolside as a family.

At Tradewinds the fun never stops! There are activities all day and half the night! We finished our night making s’mores by the fire and watching a movie by the pool! This was their first time making s’mores and they loved it! And the movie by the pool blew their minds with joy.

We had the absolute best trip at Tradewinds Island Resorts! It was the ultimate family vacay and the perfect way for me to celebrate my birthday with the people I love most. There is so much to do and see, I can’t recommend this resort enough!
