One of the most beautiful hidden spots in Tampa Bay is the Secret Garden of St Pete Beach. But before I spill the secrets of this wonderful place, I have to get a pinky promise of it’s remained secrecy from you. You must honor this place, take only pictures, and leave only footprints. Okay, everyone in? AWESOME!

To get to the Secret Garden of St Pete Beach, you first have to go to the northern most part of the beach, Upham Beach. This beach is one of my favorites because of the giant rocks along the sides. They give a stunning view, and my kids love to play on them.

As you continue to walk Upham Beach, continue to go as much north as you can. You will see hotels on the right hand side, and the beach to the left. After you walk a little while, you’ll eventually see the entrance to the Secret Garden on the right hand side.

The Secret Garden is run on donations by the people who live in the condos behind it. It’s truly a beautiful site, with so many different plant life! There are plants native to Florida like the palm trees and Birds Of Paradise, and there are also exotic + unusual plants like the “white hairy penis cactus” (and yes that is the name!) lol. Truly the garden is a sight to behold with a lot to see! Another great thing about the garden is no matter what time of year, it is always beautiful with something different in bloom!

The Garden has many beautiful walking paths and picnic spots as well! It’s a great place for a picnic with the kids or a romantic stroll with your spouse. And it boasts some stunning views of the channel!

The Secret Garden is a beautiful place and a great place to go for all ages! I hope you’re able to see and enjoy! Don’t forget though, it’s our secret! Thanks for taking the time to read this blog post, and subscribe to stay updated on the best of the best in Tampa Bay! Have a great day and know, you are loved!
Looks absolutely gorgeous, my kind of quiet serene spot, next time I am in the area (when is the ?) I will definitely check this paradise spot out!

I love the pictures and this blog! I think I had already asked but I can’t seem to find it- I’m making a list of all the places I want to visit when I come down in March and this looks like a must! Are you able to let me know an address of one of the hotels near by? Thank you so much!!

Hey Raven – I heard about this place while totally eavesdropping on some people talking about where to go in St. Pete. Always need new places to take the boys 🙂 Put it in search, and your post popped up! Thanks for the review – Regina (Gigi)
